In the year that followed, the Commando fought a series of headlong battles with the retreating German army. This culminated in the landings at Walcheren, described by Eisenhower as one of the ‘most gallant and aggressive actions’ of World War II.

JOhn Fortar first hand accoun of the RM 47 Cdo is an excellent book for those who in enjoy first person accounts with built in backround history. It does drag a abit in selected locations but overall it is well written and intresting to read.
