Una obra de corte netamente ignaciano que nos ayuda a mejorar el conocimiento de la maravillosa acción del amor de Dios sobre todas sus criaturas.

La segunda parte del libro está escrita por san Claudio de la Colombiére (1641-1682), el que fuera director espiritual de santa Margarita María Alacoque y por tanto un ardiente devoto del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús.

During my time studying Gann, I was fortunate to come across an e-book published by the Gann Study Group entitled, W.D. Gann on the Law of Vibration. In this e-book is where I first read a little known Gann article from 1919. In this article, Gann makes some predictions about the German Kaiser, Wilhelm Hohenzollern, and provides some details as to how he made his predictions. Continued study and work on the contents of the article led to the publication of my first book entitled, W.D. Gann: Divination By Mathematics. In this book, I wrote a chapter on periodicity, which was personally for me, one of my favorites in the book. In that chapter I was able to show how Gann may have derived key periods in the life of the German Kaiser, Wilhelm Hohenzollern. Interestingly, during my continued research, I found another example in Gann’s work that matched the same procedure Gann may have used to derive some of the key periods in the 1919 article. Thus, one of the main goals of this small booklet is to simply share what I found. It has always been my intention to publish additional books to get some of the ideas that I have been contemplating out in the open, but I didn’t have enough information on a particular topic to fill a three hundred, two hundred, or even a one hundred page book. With this in mind, I realized that I could publish small booklets in a series of volumes, each focusing on a different topic to achieve my goal. So this is what you will find in this publication, a small booklet on the topic of periodicity, which is the first volume in a series of volumes on observations I have made with respect to Gann’s work. It is my hope that the reader will find something valuable within these pages to further their own research and study.

Finally � The Cause and Answer to Fascism

As a Jew, I have watched, read, and visited countless accounts of the Holocaust - but not one of them correctly identified the ideas that brought it about or the ideas that will prevent it from happening again. In some cases, I was first shocked by the accounts of survivors and then horrified when they offered as a solution the same ideas that created the Nazis.
"The Ominous Parallels" finally exposes the cause and answer to Fascism. Dr. Peikoff presents a compelling and cogent thesis on the evil of collectivism in terms of the fundamental ideas that shape our history by masterfully analyzing the intellectual and cultural climate that led to the Holocaust and its parallels to today's America. Along the way, he outlines the development of Western philosophy - from the glorious creation of the United States to the rise of skepticism, pragmatism, collectivism, and the Weimar culture. Broad philosophical, political, and cultural trends are analyzed and dissected according to their basic premises, as you will never hear in a history class.
Both those well read in and new to the philosophy of Objectivism will find this book accessible and the arguments reasoned out and supported by numerous examples. This is not light reading, however- I spent as much time pausing to digest and integrate the ideas in this book as I did reading it. Those unfamiliar with Objectivism may have some difficulty connecting the author's asides on abortion, physics, and religion to the central theme, but it does not detract from the overall message.
As Dr Peikoff states, it is impossible to predict the future or know whether the Holocaust will repeat itself - but it is certain that only by understanding and adopting a proper philosophy can America survive as a free country. If this book succeeds in teaching the world about the importance of ideas, then six million shall not have died in vain.

peikoff provides us with an in-depth view of the Kantian philosophies and how the were directly responsible for the rise of hitler in germany and the progressive movment in America. This is amongst the most important book I have read and urge anyone interested in knowing the truth about our situation today to read this book.

"The Ominous Parallels" by Dr. Leonard Peikoff is a brilliant study uniting philosophy and history to identify the fundamental cause of the rise of Hitler and Nazism, and more broadly, of fascism.
Dr. Peikoff's theme is that actions follow from ideas. With passionate dedication to truth he quotes from the writings and speeches of the principle architects of Nazi Germany to show the ethical premises guiding their political actions and programs. The evidence is clearly presented. And it leads inexorably to the conclusion that the same ideas which made possible the horror that was Nazi Germany, currently dominates the intellectual establishment of the United States.
"The Ominous Parallels" is both a warning and an alert. It tells us what we should do to avoid becoming a fascist state. It alerts us to how far down that road we currently are.
Dr. Peikoff's "The Ominous Parallels" is also a rallying point for all of us who care deeply about the future of our country and the freedom of its citizens. It helps us to recognize that "it could happen here" if we do not change our views regarding the proper beneficiary of one's actions.

About the Author

Tristan Tzara (1896–1963) was a French poet, literary terrorist, and catalyst; a delightful entertainer; and a political revolutionary; who founded Dada in Zurich during World War I. Barbara Wright (1915-2009) was an award-winning translator of modern French literature, and was made a Commandeur in L'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Francis Picabia (1879-1953) was a French painter and writer and one of the major figures of the Dada movement.

you won't find an explanation of what dada is, simply because it cannot be explained. dada is the anarchism in a french female-boxer soul. is an excellent literary book. not a college research book.

This book does not define Dada. It is Dada.

All manifestos are the biographies of feeble and bitter love. Dada is, therefore, an impotent rapist. Still, Tzara is a charming and likable fellow.
If you want to know what Dada is, then Dada wants nothing to do with you. Approach this book at your own peril.
Dada is against death. Definition is death. This book does not commit murder. Therefore it does not define Dada. It is Dada....

I took this undergraduate course with prof Fabien and found his book to be a great companion to the course.

Pros:
-Lots of detailed, thought out examples
-Excellent topics and structure
-Excellent as both a learning text and a reference for undergraduate studies

Cons:
- Tighter display of derivations needed
- 'Academese' in many sections
- Somewhat wordy and cluttered presentation; hard to identify key points

Good book, would recommend to anyone interested in the topic.

the best book on analytical dynamics

I was searching for analytical dynamics textbook in engineering.
Most of the analytical dynamics books are either physics textbook or Dover Publication.
The problem of physics textbooks is that 70% of content are review of intro dynamics.

Then I finally found this textbook.
The unique feature of this textbook is that it uses uses "generalized" form of Lagrange equation,
which can handle dampers or velocity potentials.
(many textbooks avoid or minimize these topics)
Then, the equation is applied to not only mechanical, but also electrical or fluidic systems.

This textbook is by far the BEST textbook on Lagrangian dynamics.
It has very clear explanation with lots of examples.
It is excellent for self-study.

The only shortcoming is that it doesn't cover Hamiltonian mechanics.
Everything is in Lagrangian dynamics.

Great book for a physically minded person! I use it for a senior level mechanical engineering class. The book is small, light, and doesn't waste paper explaining stuff that you learned in 15 other classes before. Not for beginners!
